Magoo’s

In the late 1980s, Michael Facto had a very simple idea, if you make a great fresh burger using high-quality ingredients, people will come. That idea turned out to be incredibly true. Facto opened Magoo’s in 1987 with one of his brothers and two friends. The foursome spent months coming up with a burger recipe that would please. When they figured it out, they opened at the then-brand new Kingsway Mills Shopping Centre, located at Dundas Street and Royal York Road, and have been there ever since. Three decades later and Magoo’s still has one of the very best fresh burgers in the city.
Magoo’s takes pride in using fresh ingredients to create nearly all of their products from scratch. Every day, the restaurant buys fresh ground beef from Bruno’s Fine Foods in the same plaza and the burgers are handmade in the restaurant, never to be frozen. Veggie burgers are also handmade in the restaurant, the chicken breasts are marinated before they are grilled (neither gets frozen), and the fries are cut in-house each morning.
Since Magoo’s first opened, it has become not only a successful restaurant, but also a local gathering place for friends, families, and neighbours. Besides serving delicious burgers, Magoo’s has also done tremendous work giving back to the local community by donating to local charities and by sponsoring neighbourhood hockey, baseball, and soccer teams.

Patricia’s Cake Creations is a family owned and operated French styled patisserie café located in the Southern part of the Edenbridge-Humber Valley Neighbourhood right next to the Lambton Bridge that is serving French Pastries, gourmet coffee, crepes, soups, and of course cakes.
Patricia Drewnowska is a wedding and special occasion cake designer with an eye for detail and appreciation of art and nature. Patricia originally worked in mortgage investments at a bank but her creative side was aching to escape so she decided to take baking courses through community colleges and this took her down a completely different path. Patricia took all of her training and used it to launch the award-winning Patricia’s Cake Creations. Her elaborately designed cakes have been featured on Food Network, Breakfast Television, ET Canada, Globe and Mail, Global TV, and more.
Patricia’s Cake Creations is really a family affair with Patricia’s brother Konrad and mother Maria, both working alongside her at the patisserie.
