Are you looking for full-time work with a financially stable company? We are searching for a Licensed Journeyman Plumber to join our team. Join DBNC’s large crew on an exciting project building the Rook Hotel and other developments in the Greater Toronto Area!
Position: Licensed Commercial Plumber | Effective Date: May 7, 2023
Salary Range: $37-$42.00/Hour | Reports To: Construction Project Manager
Classification: Full-Time/Hourly
WHAT WILL YOUR DAY LOOK LIKE
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial buildings, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances
- Performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting problems, and responding to emergency plumbing situations
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan the installation of plumbing systems
- Installing and maintaining water supply, waste disposal, and storm drainage systems in accordance with local codes and regulations
- Installing and maintaining gas distribution systems and equipment, including gas meters and gas piping
- Providing advice and recommendations to building owners and managers on plumbing issues and repairs
- Collaborating with other trades and contractors to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects
- Following all safety procedures and regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized work area
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have a strong background with new build and renovations in commercial plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance, and will be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid Plumber’s License from the Ontario College of Trades
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial plumber
- Knowledge of local plumbing codes and regulations in Ontario
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex plumbing issues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Required to bring the following tools and equipment:
- Basic hand tools (large tools will be provided)
- CSA-approved safety boots
- Hard hat
- Must possess reliable method of transportation
- Working at heights certification is an asset
