The United Steelworkers Local 1998 (USW Local 1998) represents over 7000 administrative and technical workers at the University of Toronto, Victoria University, University of St. Michael’s College, and the University of Toronto Schools. USW Local 1998 is committed to providing information and support to all of it’s members to help improve their work lives. Members of USW Local 1998 can confidentially contact union representatives who can help with questions about collective agreement, working conditions, dealing with sick leave, returning to work after an illness, accommodating medical issues and disabilities, bullying and harassment in the workplace, resolving workplace conflicts, organization change and layoffs, redeployment, internal hiring issues, job evaluation questions and assistance, and health and safety training.
